Food Runner Fine Dining Greek Restaurant (CARLE PLACE) Carle Place, NY 11514 $800-$1200 food runner position (full time) Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and efficiently, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires a passion for hospitality and a commitment to food safety and quality. Duties Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area while ensuring accuracy and presentation. Assist servers by providing support in bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders. Monitor food handling practices to adhere to health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with team members, utilizing POS systems for order tracking as needed. Help maintain an organized and efficient workflow in both the kitchen and dining areas. Provide assistance during peak hours, ensuring that all guests receive prompt service. Experience Previous experience in a culinary or hospitality role is preferred but not required. Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations is advantageous. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team. A positive attitude, willingness to help others, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Experience with POS systems is a plus, enhancing efficiency in order processing.
