Job Overview Position Summary Cleanliness and Guest service is an ongoing endeavor and your greatest priority. Food Runners are responsible for delivering food to guests, maintaining cleanliness of all public areas, and supporting servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth restaurant operations. This role requires attention to detail, excellent customer service, and the ability to handle various tasks throughout the day from opening to closing. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Food Service & Guest Relations Deliver food to tables promptly and accurately using proper tray techniques
Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate service flow
Refill water glasses and respond to guest requests politely and efficiently
Interact with guests positively and maintain composure in all circumstances
Maintain menu knowledge to answer guest questions and provide recommendations Table Management & Setup Clear and reset tables promptly after guests finish dining
Set up tables to specification and maintain proper presentation
Maintain organized service stations with adequate linens, silverware, and glassware
Inform management of any quality standard deviations Cleaning & Sanitation Comply with restaurant and Department of Health sanitation standards
Keep work areas clean and address spills or debris promptly
Perform daily cleaning and sanitation tasks as directed
Dispose of trash and cardboard from kitchen and service areas
Set up and break down stations; complete closing cleaning tasks Team Collaboration Communicate professionally with kitchen team and all staff
Assist coworkers as needed and work collaboratively
Clear tables when prompted by servers or bartenders
Attend work on time in proper attire Minimum Qualifications Ability to perform essential job functions when working in a high business volume, fast-paced environment
Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously and for extended periods of time as required to perform essential job functions
Able to lift 30+ lbs.
Able to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business
Fluent in both written and spoken English
Must love sunsets
