Food service will include finishes, plating and packaging. Beverage service will include coffee and espresso, tea, and limited beer, wine & cider options. Cafe cleaning and inventory duties included. Barista and/or bar experience preferred, but there’s room for an inexperienced but enthusiastic and hard-working candidate. The Sleeping Cat is an independent, community-focused bakery launched in January 2024. We are looking for motivated, energetic, and adaptable team players.

Responsibilities:

• Learn and understand the bakery’s full offerings to respond to customer questions and requests for recommendations
• Take orders and handle payment
• Plate and finish food orders
• Prepare and serve espresso, coffee, and other hot and cold beverages
• Monitor inventory of service supplies and ingredients
• Clean and sanitize cafe and work equipment

Requirements:

• Basic barista experience required and food service experience is helpful
• Commitment to friendly, helpful and generous customer service
• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations preferred
• High motivation and adaptability
• Availability for weekend 2:30pm-10:30pm shifts
