Server/Host/Hostess Henry & The Lions 405 West 23rd Street, New York, NY 10011 Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a fine dining environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and an exceptional dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage reservations efficiently. Responsibilities Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and inviting demeanor. Manage the seating chart using OpenTable or similar reservation systems to optimize table turnover while ensuring guest comfort. Assist in coordinating the flow of service between the front of house and kitchen staff. Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions. Answer phone calls regarding reservations and guest inquiries with professionalism. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area. Collaborate with servers and bussers to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction. Handle guest complaints or concerns with grace, escalating issues to management when necessary. Experience Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, particularly in a fine dining setting. Familiarity with food handling practices and health regulations within the food industry is essential. Knowledge of OpenTable or similar reservation management systems is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on guest services and communication. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
