Busser/Food Runner Chieftans Restaurant & Bar 584 Main Street, Cobleskill, NY 12043 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that food and beverages are delivered promptly and accurately to our guests, enhancing their dining experience. This position requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff. Responsibilities Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area efficiently and accurately. Assist in setting up tables and ensuring cleanliness throughout the restaurant. Support servers by providing timely assistance with food orders and guest requests. Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to answer guest inquiries. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding food orders and special requests. Assist with bussing tables and cleaning up after guests to maintain a tidy dining environment. Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed. Experience Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Familiarity with restaurant operations, including food handling and cleanliness standards. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Experience in catering or working in a restaurant is preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
