Dining Server 3.1 3.1 out of 5 stars 1065 Smithtown Avenue, Bohemia, NY 11716 Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dining Room Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent service to our residents and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. This role requires a high school diploma and prior experience in a restaurant, healthcare, or assisted living environment is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities Resident Service:

Greet residents warmly and provide exceptional dining service, including taking orders, serving food and beverages, and attending to residents’ dietary needs and preferences.

Dining Room Setup:

Prepare and set up the dining room before meals, including arranging tables, setting silverware, and ensuring cleanliness and organization.

Food Handling:

Serve meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and resident preferences, ensuring all food safety and sanitation standards are met.

Communication:

Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding food orders and special requests, and relay any resident feedback or concerns to management promptly.

Cleanliness:

Maintain cleanliness in the dining area during and after meals, including clearing tables, washing dishes, and sanitizing surfaces.

Team Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a welcoming and supportive environment for residents.

Resident Engagement:

Participate in resident engagement activities related to meal times, fostering a sense of community and belonging among residents. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience as a server in a restaurant, healthcare setting, or assisted living facility is highly preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and compassionate demeanor. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist residents as needed. Availability to work weekends and holidays, as well as during the week, is essential for this position. Candidates who are unable to meet this availability requirement may not be suitable for the role.

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time Pay:

Up to $18.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 37.50 per week
