Server/Waitstaff Tengda Asian Bistro 286 Katonah Avenue, Katonah, NY 10536 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of food service operations. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have an enjoyable dining experience by delivering outstanding service and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Duties Greet and seat guests promptly, providing them with menus and information about daily specials. Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all requests are communicated clearly to the kitchen staff. Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries, offering recommendations, and upselling menu items when appropriate. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining area, including bussing tables, resetting them for new guests, and ensuring the overall appearance of the restaurant is inviting. Operate cash registers for processing payments, handling cash transactions accurately while adhering to company policies. Answer phone calls professionally and take accurate takeout orders, ensuring clarity on items, modifications, and timing Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any issues that may arise during service. Assist in training new staff members on restaurant protocols and customer service expectations. Qualifications Available to work 4 days a week including double shift (lunch & dinner) Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods. Knowledge of culinary practices and food safety regulations is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to serving duties.
