Present menus and provide detailed information about food and beverage offerings. Take accurate orders and ensure timely delivery of food and drinks. Monitor tables to ensure guest satisfaction and address any needs promptly. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation. Adhere to food safety standards and proper handling procedures. Process payments accurately using the point-of-sale system (experience with OpenTable is a plus). Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests. Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring high culinary standards are met. Manage time effectively to handle multiple tables efficiently. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Basic math skills for processing orders and payments accurately. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy shifts. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating positive guest experiences. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A passion for culinary arts and an eagerness to learn about menu items.
