Job Description
Server Royal Diner and Bakery 106 East Baltimore Avenue, Lansdowne, PA 19050 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that every guest feels valued and well-cared for. If you have a passion for the food industry and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you. Duties Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner. Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system or similar POS technology. Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation meets our standards. Assist guests with menu selections and provide recommendations based on their preferences. Handle cash register transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change. Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and service stations. Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders. Uphold all health and safety regulations within the food service environment. Skills Strong math skills for handling transactions and managing cash register operations. Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required. Familiarity with Aloha POS or other point-of-sale systems is an advantage. Excellent guest relations skills to foster positive interactions with customers. Knowledge of culinary practices to effectively communicate menu items to guests. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables during busy shifts. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to help colleagues as needed.
