Food Server The Franklin House Tavern 101 North Market Street, Schaefferstown, PA 17088 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service in a fast-paced dining environment. You will assist in various aspects of food service, ensuring that guests have a pleasant dining experience while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Duties Greet and assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and upselling menu items when appropriate. Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including dining spaces, kitchens, and storage areas. Handle food safely and adhere to all health regulations regarding food handling and sanitation. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for order processing and payment transactions. Assist with bussing tables and clearing dishes to ensure a clean dining environment for guests. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any customer needs or concerns promptly. Manage time effectively to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or fine dining environment is preferred but not required. Strong upselling skills with the ability to engage customers effectively. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Excellent time management abilities to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when needed. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to food service operations.
