We are looking for a dynamic professional to join our talented and award-winning team.
Qualifications:
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. A minimum of three years’ experience working in a professional fine dining environment, with good knowledge of fine wines, dining etiquette and steps of service. Knowledge of Italian cuisine is a major plus. A customer service-driven professional with an outgoing personality. Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure. No seasonal applicants please. Prior experience with Toast or other POS systems a plus. Team player. Ability to be proactive (rather than just reactive) to meet customers’ high expectations. Sense of urgency.
Responsibilities:
Performs opening/closing side work. Presents menus to guests and answers any questions regarding menu items, beverages, and any other restaurant functions or services. Informs guests of any menu changes or specials of the day and makes appropriate recommendations. Narrates how menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods. Develops a working knowledge of our wine lists, including the Private Reserve list. Describes and recommends wines to customers as well as presenting them properly. Assists in serving food to high standards by ensuring that all dishes are presented correctly and in a timely manner. Checks on guests during their meal to ascertain satisfaction levels. Reports any issues or complaints directly to the FOH manager to ensure that any issues can be corrected to the customer’s satisfaction.
Requirements:
Must be able to speak English fluently. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and climb stairs frequently. Reliable transportation is required.
