Server and Dishwasher Papaya Thai and Sushi 1001 Boundary Street, Beaufort, SC 29902 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen and dining areas. This position is essential for ensuring that our food service operations run smoothly, supporting the overall guest experience in our restaurant, hotel, or catering service. Responsibilities Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure that all items are properly stored after cleaning. Assist with food preparation as needed, including bussing tables and helping cooks with basic tasks. Dispose of waste and recycling materials appropriately to maintain a clean work environment. Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure compliance with sanitation standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of clean dishes during peak service times. Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor promptly. Requirements Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or restaurant settings is preferred but not required. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management. Willingness to learn and adapt to various tasks related to cooking, catering, or banquet services as needed. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds). A positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent service in a team-oriented atmosphere.
