Position Summary:

The primary role of the Meeting at Market Food Runner is ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of food orders to our guests. primary responsibility will be to assist the kitchen and waitstaff by delivering dishes from the kitchen to the appropriate tables in a fast-paced environment. Duties/Responsibilities:

Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure that food orders are prepared correctly and delivered promptly to the dining area. Retrieve prepared dishes from the kitchen and verify accuracy and presentation before delivery. Ensure that each food order is complete, properly garnished, and matches the corresponding customer’s order. Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to maintain smooth and efficient service. Assist in clearing and resetting tables as needed to prepare for the next guests. Respond promptly to any customer requests or concerns and escalate issues to management when necessary. Work collaboratively with team members to maintain a clean and organized dining area. Assist in restocking supplies, such as utensils, napkins, and condiments, as needed. Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our guests. Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the overall operation of the restaurant.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Previous experience in a similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in delivering food orders. Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with colleagues to provide exceptional service. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a colleague to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: Must be able to lift equipment, supplies, etc. of at least 30 pounds. Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict, and make effective decisions under pressure. The role may require extended periods of time on your feet, especially during peak hotel hours or events. Clear vision is important for reading reports, analyzing data, and overseeing (enter department) activities. Good hearing is necessary for effective communication with colleagues, guests, and stakeholders.
