Restaurant Food Runner The Peacock 213 East Bay Street, Charleston, SC 29401 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and efficiently. As a Food Runner, you will work closely with the kitchen staff and servers to deliver food items to tables, maintain cleanliness in the dining area, and provide exceptional guest service. This position is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about the culinary experience. Duties Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner. Assist servers by ensuring that all orders are accurate and complete before delivery. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including clearing tables and resetting them for new guests. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding order status and any special requests from guests. Adhere to food safety and handling guidelines to ensure the highest quality of service. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries or concerns promptly. Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall dining experience. Requirements Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and teamwork mentality.
