POSITION SUMMARY

: Server providesfood and beverage service tableside to residents, resident familiesand guests. This position maintains the cleanliness of the diningroom, service stations, beverage machines, and all other workareas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

:

  • Serves meals and busses tables witha warm, friendly, courteous, respectful and engaging demeanor.
  • Helps Team Members and participates in setting up and breaking downdining room tables and wait stations prior to and following meals,ensuring that the dining room is prepared for the next meal.
  • Participates in the training of new Team Members.
  • Assists withdining service for special functions, private dining events, andspecial guests.
  • Clears tables, replaces linens, sets tables, andensures that the dining room is clean and attractive.
  • Cleansequipment, furniture, appliances, floors, drains, storage area,refrigerator, freezer and sinks according to schedule.
  • Keeps theenvironment safe, clean, and free of clutter.
  • Stores andretrieves residents’ assistive devices during mealtimes, ensuringthat safety is never compromised.
  • Participates in and attends allrequired in-service training and education programs as scheduled.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The physical demands described here arerepresentative of those that must be met by an employee tosuccessfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • TheTeam Member is often required to stand, walk, sit, use hands tofinger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach withhands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, tasteand/or smell.
  • An individual in this position will be required tolift or carry weight up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be free of diseases thatcan be transmitted in the performance of job responsibilitiesduring the stage of communicability unless the Team Member can begiven duties that minimize the likelihood of transmission.
  • TheTeam Member may be exposed to minimal to moderate noise andexposure to blood and/or body fluids.

Also may experience traumaticsituations including psychiatric and deceased residents.

TRAVEL:

Notravel is expected although occasional travel may be required fortraining sessions, continuing education opportunities, emergencysituations, and other company functions.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a similar position desired.
KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
  • Ability to read, write, speak andunderstand English fluently.
  • Ability to meet or exceed thecompany’s attendance and punctuality standards.
  • Ability to usemiscellaneous software and office equipment.
  • Ability tounderstand and follow directions as given.
  • Ability to work withminimal supervision.
