Liberty on the Lake in Irmo, SC is now hiring a Food Runner . The Homegrown Hospitality Group is looking for a Food Runner to play a vital role in ensuring efficient and seamless service by delivering food orders from the kitchen to guests in a timely and professional manner. They act as a liaison between the kitchen and the dining room, ensuring accuracy and maintaining the high standards of Homegrown Hospitality Group/Restaurant. The Homegrown Hospitality Group consists of 9 different business concepts and over 15 locations located throughout South Carolina in Charleston, Columbia, and Myrtle Beach. RESPONSIBILITIES
Promptly and accurately deliver food orders from the kitchen to the correct tables, following established procedures and table numbering systems. Confirm order accuracy before leaving the kitchen and upon arrival at the table, ensuring all items are present and correct. Present dishes to guests with proper descriptions, if trained to do so, and answer basic questions about the menu. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the expo area, service stations, and dining room. Assist with pre-bussing tables, removing finished plates and glassware as needed. Support servers and bussers as needed, contributing to a smooth and efficient service flow. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management regarding order status and any special requests. Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, representing [Homegrown Hospitality Group/Restaurant] positively. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience as a food runner or in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred but not required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to lift and carry trays of food and beverages. Positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
SALARY RANGE
$5 – $7.25 / Hourly
