Server arabesque 2930 Devine St, Columbia, SC 29205 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in a fast-paced dining environment. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, ensuring that guests have an enjoyable dining experience. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Your knowledge of food safety and culinary practices will contribute to the overall success of our establishment. Responsibilities Greet and seat guests promptly, providing menus and information about daily specials. Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring all requests are communicated effectively to the kitchen staff. Serve food and drinks in a timely manner while adhering to proper sanitation and food safety guidelines. Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including sanitizing tables, chairs, and other surfaces as needed. Assist with setting up and breaking down dining areas for special events or large parties. Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any issues that may arise during service. Experience Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required. Familiarity with culinary practices, food safety standards, and sanitation procedures is highly desirable. Familiarity with menu items, food allergies, and dietary restrictions Strong communication skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented atmosphere. Experience with upselling or sales techniques is a plus. Ability to multitask effectively in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
