Sumter St, Columbia, SC 29201 Job Overview We are seeking an upbeat, enthusiastic Server to join our small team in a fast-paced lunch/early evening gourmet sandwich/salad spot. environment. We love our customers and try to ensure a positive experience for our Friends who come to eat with us! One shift per week (Mon-Thursday) will be til 6pm and one weekend shift from 10:30-2:30 will be required. We do not pool tips, and we pay minimum (not $2.15) per hour. Once per week you would need to be Expo or Register person during our busy period. This has a different payscale. Our spot is a positive, affirming, open environment, as we work hard to make sure our folk are happy and everyone works well together! Punctuality, working together, and a warm attitude towards others are greatly needed! Duties Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner. Take accurate food and drink orders using the

TOAST POS

system. Provide recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction. Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation meets our standards. Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns or special requests. Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist guests with inquiries. Uphold high standards of hospitality and customer service at all times. Requirements Previous experience in a server or hospitality role is required. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with cash handling procedures is advantageous. Experience with culinary concepts or sales techniques is a plus. Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
