Server/Waiter Hanabi Hibachi & Sushi 1624 Main St, Columbia, SC 29201 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced food service environment. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that all guests have a memorable dining experience. Your ability to manage time effectively and maintain strong guest relations will be key to your success in this role. Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, providing excellent guest relations throughout their dining experience. Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen staff promptly. Serve food and drinks to guests in a timely manner while ensuring proper sanitation practices are followed. Assist with food preparation as needed, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area. Handle cash transactions accurately, processing payments and providing change as necessary. Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to answer guest inquiries effectively. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any issues that may arise during service. Uphold high standards of cleanliness by sanitizing tables, utensils, and work areas regularly. Manage multiple tables efficiently while ensuring that all guests receive attentive service. Qualifications Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred but not required. Strong knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is essential. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on guest relations. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
