The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have experience in food service, particularly in a family restaurant setting. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have an enjoyable and memorable dining experience. Duties Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and professional demeanor. Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently using POS and other order systems. Provide detailed menu and buffet information, including daily specials, to enhance guest relations. Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation meets Shoney’s high standards. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns or requests promptly. Assist with bussing tables to maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area. Process cash handling transactions accurately, ensuring all payments are recorded correctly. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and maintain communication regarding special requests or dietary restrictions. Complete Server side work as required. Requirements Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, particularly in a family restaurant environment. Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests. Familiarity with POS systems. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting trays or bussing tables. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
