SERVER JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE

BASIC PURPOSE

The Server is responsible for positive Guest interactions while serving Guests in a friendly and efficient manner and play an integral role in ensuring our Guests have exceptional dining experiences. At all times, servers are expected to be attentive to our Guests’ needs, making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed.

ORGANIZATIONAL SCOPE

Servers perform all guest contact activities in a cordial, efficient and professional manner; maintaining a commitment to guest satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Hospitably greet, prepare and serve drinks to guests. Accurately and quickly take and place all food orders with the kitchen, according to the prescribed procedure. Answer all questions about cooking methods, menu items, menu additions and prices of all items. Prepare and deliver beverage, dining and dessert orders. Check food to ascertain that appearance, temperature and portions are correct and deliver food orders in a timely fashion. Prepare the guest check accurately and present it to the guest before their departure. Collect payment from the guest including using proper cash handling procedures. Perform all sidework duties according to sidework schedules Greet and seat guests properly and issue menus. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Clean, clear and reset dining room tables. 2. Ensure all menus are clean before shift. 3. Assist in seating and greeting the guest. 4. Be familiar with hotel facilities and their location and hours.

Knowledge and Skills:

Education:

Ability to read and write English.

Experience:

One year costumer experience and cash handling work experience

Skills and Abilities:

Communication and hospitality skills (English required). Ability to answer phones. Ability to properly handle diverse payments including cash, credit cards, and room charges. Requires oral and written communication skills .

Work Environment:

Job involves working: under variable temperature conditions (or extreme heat or cold). under variable noise levels. outdoors/indoors. around fumes and/or odor hazards. around dust and/or mite hazards. around chemicals. Physical Job Requirements Lifting objects, pushing, pulling and carrying tables, chairs, trays, plates, and chafing dishes on a daily basis Ability to regularly pick objects up from the floor Pushing and pulling carts is required.

Full mobility is required in order to properly inspect the working environment and maintain our working environment standards
