Job Summary The Server Assistant is responsible for assisting the Food Server in creating the overall dining experience for our guests. The role will be accountable for interacting with guests, resetting tables throughout service, assisting in pre-bussing tables, taking and refilling guests water orders, as well as ensuring an exceptional guest experience. Job Duties Greet and welcome all guests in a professional manner. Set and reset tables before, during and after service periods. Stack and stock of side stations, with dry goods, extra china settings and silverware. Pre-bus and bus tables during service period; assist servers with service steps where necessary. Assist Food Servers with carrying food trays and serving guests when necessary. Maintain general cleanliness inside stations during service periods. Rotate to other Food & Beverage outlets/venues, as necessary. Work as a team, assisting all guest needs and inquiries. Effectively communicate with management, chefs and culinary staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and or other employees. Ensure table side food service and quality presentation. Anticipate the guests’ needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency. Education and Experience 2+ years of experience in a hotel, restaurant, or catering facility of similar caliber preferred . Experience in fast paced, high volume atmosphere preferred . Must have ServSafe and TABC license At least 18 years of age. Specific Job Knowledge, skills & Abilities Good organizational and communication skills. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to read, write & speak fluent English. Good team spirit. Position requires regular, reliable attendance. Physical Requirements Most work tasks are performed indoors, temperature can be very hot with or without control of environmental systems. Must be able to stand for long periods of time Must be able to maneuver between stations and areas efficiently and easily Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Requires manual dexterity Must be flexible to work any day of the week, weekends, and holidays if assigned.
