The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and with exceptional service. This position requires a keen attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a Food Runner, you will work closely with the kitchen staff and servers to deliver an outstanding dining experience. Duties Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area efficiently and accurately. Assist servers in setting up tables for service, including arranging utensils, plates, and condiments. Ensure that food presentation meets restaurant standards before serving to guests. Help maintain cleanliness in the dining area by bussing tables and clearing away used dishes. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding any special requests or modifications to orders. Support food preparation tasks as needed, including assisting with food handling and basic cooking duties. Collaborate with team members during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of orders. Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required. Familiarity with POS systems is a plus, as it aids in understanding order management. Experience in banquet settings or large-scale events is advantageous. Knowledge of food handling and safety practices is essential for maintaining high standards of hygiene. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
