Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned People Services Director to lead our hospital’s human resources operations and strategy. This individual will be responsible for driving organizational effectiveness, supporting talent management, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a positive workplace culture. As a key member of the leadership team, you’ll help shape workforce strategies that align with our mission, vision, and values.

Key Responsibilities Lead and manage HR operations for the hospital, including employee relations, staffing, onboarding, compliance, and performance managementEnsure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (e.g., Title VII, ADA, FMLA, Affirmative Action)Partner with department leaders to support strategic workforce planning, training and development, and talent retention initiativesCollaborate with corporate HR or system-wide resources to align policies, practices, and HRIS toolsOversee employee engagement efforts, diversity and inclusion strategies, and workplace safety programsManage and mentor a team of HR professionals, fostering a culture of service and accountabilityContribute to budgeting, policy development, and organizational planning as part of the hospital’s executive leadership teamRequired Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree (in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field)5+ years of human resources leadership experience in a hospital or healthcare environmentStrong working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local HR regulations, including:

Title VII of the Civil Rights ActAmericans with Disabilities Act (ADA)Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)Affirmative ActionProven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and manage change in a fast-paced, regulated environmentPreferred Qualifications Experience working within a multi-site healthcare system, including corporate HR collaborationCandidates located in Tennessee or Alabama strongly preferredProfessional certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) a plus
