DESCRIPTION OF

POSITIONThis position reports directly to the Associate Vice Chancellor of HumanResources and is responsible for managing and administering employeebenefit programs for all employees on all ASU-Beebe campuses. Thisincludes monthly coverage reconciliations as well as compliance with allrelevant state and federal regulations and ASU System policies. Inaddition, this position will be responsible for the accurate and timelyupdates of all employee benefits, review of employee leave and timeentry, and serve as a point of contact for FMLA, Catastrophic Leave,Retirement, Workers Compensation and other employee benefits provided byArkansas State University-Beebe. This position serves as the point ofcontact for open enrollment and conducts new employee orientation.ESSENTIAL

DUTIES AND

RESPONSIBILITIESSchedules and conducts New Employee Orientation and prepares allinformation for payroll and set up for benefit eligible employees. Thisduty is performed daily.Serves as Benefit Coordinator and employee liaison by providing dailytechnical support for all employee benefits including health, life,dental, vision, retirement and all voluntary products. This duty isperformed daily.Monthly reconciliation of all insurance and other benefit relatedcoverages.Enters and maintains accurate and up-to-date employee demographic,benefit and job information ensuring data integrity and confidentialityin the HRIS.Updates all third-party benefits for accurate employee benefit coverageand reporting in the benefit portal. This duty is performed daily.Prepares reports to include

IPEDS, COBRA

invoice, Catastrophic LeaveReport. This duty is performed as needed.Processes and provides support for all FMLA, Catastrophic Leave andWorkers Compensation requests.Monitors and reviews employees time and leave entries for accuracy.

Reconciles monthly leave reports with FMLA, Catastrophic Leave andWorkers Compensation requests. Prepares monthly and yearly employeeleave reports. This duty is performed weekly.Serves as the point of contact to provide benefit policy information forASUB employees. This duty is performed weekly.Coordinates yearly employee Benefit Fair in the fall and Wellness eventin the spring. This duty is performed daily.Provides support and serves as backup to the Associate Vice Chancellorof Human Resources. This duty is performed as needed.Maintains current knowledge of benefits rules and regulations as itpertains to ASU System benefits and policies. This duty is performeddaily.Performs other duties as required or assigned.
