In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert on 401(k) plans, supporting plan sponsors and participants while ensuring regulatory compliance. You’ll work closely with advisors, third-party administrators (TPAs), and internal stakeholders to deliver an exceptional client experience. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for retirement plan clients, providing ongoing education and support. Advise on 401(k) plan design, implementation, and optimization in coordination with TPAs and internal teams. Monitor and manage key compliance deadlines (e.g., Safe Harbor notices, profit-sharing contributions, eligibility for new hires). Assist clients in gathering required data for annual plan filings; coordinate with TPAs as needed. Benchmark existing plans to identify enhancements and opportunities for growth. Support participant enrollment for select employee groups, both virtually and in person. Stay informed on ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations and industry best practices. Translate complex retirement plan concepts into clear, client-friendly language. Collaborate with financial planners and advisors to deliver seamless service. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in 401(k) plan administration, retirement services, or a related financial services role. Series 7 and 66 licenses required. Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple plan timelines. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to simplify complex information for clients. Certifications such as QKA, QKC, or CPFA are a plus.
