PURPOSE OF POSITION

Assists in administering, organizing, and coordinating the organization’s Employee Group Benefits Programs in compliance with organization policies and government regulations. Performs analytical work on employee group benefit programs to ensure compliance. Assists on a variety of special projects, handles organization benefits issues, and inquiries, and ensures ongoing collaborative relationships with vendors and employees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following; however, other duties may be assigned. 1. Handles all benefit enrollment, termination, qualifying events, status change processes, and updates in the systems. 2. Participates and provides benefit guidance to employees during open enrollment events and throughout the year either in person or remotely. 3. Analyzes and reviews monthly insurance reports to ensure prompt payment. 4. Serves as a liaison between employees, benefits vendors, service providers, and brokers to resolve personal and customer service issues efficiently. 5. Responds to inquiries and assist employees with enrollment procedures and requirements to ensure completeness and accuracy. 6. Provides training in assigned functional area(s) in person, remotely, or during open enrollment as required. 7. Ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to employee benefits. 8. Analyzes benefit data to monitor program effectiveness and/or make recommendations for improvements.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily while exercising independent judgment and initiative. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. The individual must meet age, medical, moral character, and any other requirements as defined by Florida Statutes.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Associate’s degree with 1-3 years of previous job-related experience in an administrative position, preferably in Human Resources to include familiarity with employee-related benefits, data analysis, or a similar role. Or High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 3-5 years of previous job-related experience in an administrative position, preferably in Human Resources to include familiarity with employee-related benefits, data analysis, or a similar role.
