Full Job Description Description:
JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for communication with adjusters and attorneys to obtain payment on past-due, unpaid claims. Resubmission of bills, documenting, negotiating, and analyzing patient accounts are also part of this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Place outbound calls to adjusters and attorney’s offices to obtain payment. Input all information related to the call into the patient profile and InjuryScripts’ Tracker to ensure all notes are accurate. Negotiate with adjusters and attorneys when necessary. Resubmit bills when necessary. Perform follow-up calls when necessary. Comply with recordkeeping requirements as determined by management. Complete Quality Related Event (QRE) form as necessary based on patient feedback. Make the determination when a call needs to be escalated to the Team Lead or Manager of the department. Follow-up internally with other departments as necessary to resolve patient related matters. Follow-up with patients, doctor’s offices, pharmacists, adjuster, and attorney’s offices. Ensure that baskets and work space remain organized. Monitor prescription time spent in the Worker’s Compensation Department and makes adjustments accordingly. Uphold superior customer service excellence and public relations; provide premier customer service and interaction. Ensure customer satisfaction, maintain positive working relationships with internal co-workers. Maintain a strong sense of focus to the task at hand and keep distractions to a minimum. Consistent attendance and promptness, ready to work at the start of their schedule shift. Maintain a focus on the Company Mission Statement and upholds its directive when performing daily work. Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements:
Skills, Abilities & Competencies:

Knowledge of ICD-10 Codes, HCFA 1500 Forms, DWC-10 Forms, DWC-066 Forms, etc. A strong sense of customer focus Displays a consistent positive and supportive attitude Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain a strong work ethic A self-motivated individual who takes initiative, seeks opportunities and is driven Technical and analytical ability, specifically to learning new software systems Exhibits decisive judgment Must have proven track record of problem solving Strong computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint Effective oral and written communication including ability to communicate with individuals in differing roles. Excellent interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills Must be able to present a professional image including communication skills and appropriate demeanor with patients. Must be a team player

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or GED required 1-3 years prior experience with Worker’s Compensation claims is preferred Licensed with the Florida State Board of Pharmacy is preferred
