Purpose:
To administer and manage employee leave and benefits programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations while providing guidance and support to employees and HR Business partners.
Qualifications:
Successfully completes the required pre-employment Background and Drug Screenings. Proficient with WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK and basic computer skills. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Experience in benefits administration, leave of absence management, and/or HR generalist roles. Knowledge of benefits and leave policies, regulations, and best practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SC or PHR or SPHR credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment. Essential Functions Administered the full lifecycle of leave administration across states, including vacation, FMLA, state-specific protected and paid leaves, and short-term disability, by consulting with employees, and internal teams, interpreting employment laws, ensuring compliance, and delivering support to employees via phone and email. Served as point of contact and leave administrator Partnered with Human Resources Business Partners regarding leave of absence policies and FMLA use. Guide employees through the leave application process, including documentation and eligibility requirements. Work with the Workers Comp department to coordinate leave of absence. Manage leave data in HR systems and ensure accurate tracking of leave balances. Communicate with employees and managers regarding leave policies and procedures. Stay up-to-date on relevant regulations and guidelines related to benefits and leave, such as ERISA, IRS, and DOL. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. May be involved in benefits communication and open enrollment activities. Performs other duties as assigned This position will remain open until filled.
