Role is responsible for supporting the design, implementation,and administration of the crew compensation programs. The role willcollect, review, and continuously evaluate the consistency of ourcrew compensation programs, policies and practices includinginternal data analysis, diagnosis, reporting, and market researchto validate and ensure the competitiveness and effectiveness of ourshipboard pay strategy in alignment with its total rewards strategyregarding benefits. The role will partner with shipboard HR teams,Business Partners, and leaders, as well as with other departmentssuch as Finance, IT, Accounting, Revenue Management, etc. to gathercritical data and existing documentation as well as to understandthe various interdependencies across different areas. This rolefunctions as a subject matter expert with respect to shipboardbased compensation and bonus/incentive compensation and paypractices. Works within the guidelines of the respective plandocuments and regulatory agencies to administer compensation plans.

Makes compensation recommendations based on analysis, bestpractices, cross brand information, and business drivers.

Role willcoordinate the implementation of any changes determined andapproved by the Sr. leadership team ensuring appropriatecommunication, consistency, and effectiveness.

Job Functions:

Design, implement, and administer the crew compensationprograms. The role will collect, review, and continuously evaluatethe consistency of our crew compensation programs, policies andpractices including internal data analysis, diagnosis, reporting,and market research to validate and ensure the competitiveness andeffectiveness of our shipboard pay strategy in alignment with itstotal rewards strategy regarding benefits. Administrate the Carnival Shipboard Incentive Plan (CSIP).Coordinate data gathering to ensure timely and accuratecalculation, tracking and reporting of fleet performance eachquarter. Calculate quarterly accruals and annual payouts.

Coordinate with the payroll team to ensure payments are processed.

Create and provide each participant’s confirmation statement ofpayment. Partner with senior leadership to review modifierperformance and identify any incidents that merit review. Modelplan performance and plan changes. Provide input to senior leaderswith respect to suggested plan changes or processimprovements. Analyze internal and external data to evaluate thecompetitiveness and alignment of the crew compensation programs andits alignment with shipboard total rewards strategy. Preparerecommendations for leadership to address areas of concern and/oropportunity. Plan and administer the annual increase cycle. Makerecommendations for targeted increases based on allotted budget andbusiness drivers. Calculate Pay for Performance increases based oninput from leadership team. Calculate Officer, Petty Officer andRatings increases and provide new rates to the Crew PersonnelSystem (CPS) team for input. Update wage tables and prepare anddistribute increase letters. Work effectively with cross-functional teams, using yourexpertise in analytics and strong business acumen to preparevaluable reports and support operational decision-makingprocesses. Audit the shipboard employee database (CPS) for discrepancies.

Follow through on discrepancies identified to ensure the CPS teamresolves discrepancies. Assist in the calculation and implementation of othercompensation programs as needed (Xmas, LNG, Base bonus). Coordinate and/or participate in cross brand compensationinitiatives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business administration, HR, finance, dataanalytics. 2-4 years of relevant experience in analytics role (HR,finance, revenue management). Compensation experience is aplus. Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and analytical toolsSQL/Oracle, Tableau, Power BI. Strong and solid analytical, numerical, and problem-solvingskills and capabilities. Strong business acumen.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, ability todemonstrate solid critical thinking, attention to detail, advancedanalytical skills, ability to maintain confidential information,ability to provide a positive customer experience.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/orcomputer for extended periods of time. Requires regular movementthroughout CCL facilities.

Travel:

No or very little travellikely.

Work Conditions:

Work primarily in a climate-controlledenvironment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

Thisposition is classified as “in-office.” As an in-office role, itrequires employees to work from a designated Carnival office inSouth Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees maywork from their homes on Mondays and Fridays. Candidates must belocated in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdalearea.
