Role Overview:
Nixer Comp is seeking a detail-oriented Classification Assistant to join our team in Orlando, FL. In this role, you will support the Classification Analyst by conducting research, reviewing job descriptions, and gathering essential information to ensure the accurate classification of workers’ compensation policies. Responsibilities include client communication, data entry, document management, and assisting with administrative processes to maintain the efficiency of the underwriting department. Key Responsibilities:
Support the Classification Analyst in processing classification requests for workers’ compensation policies. Research job descriptions and industry data to determine appropriate classifications. Communicate with clients to request, gather, and clarify necessary information. Accurately enter and maintain data in internal systems and databases. Assist in analyzing client submissions to ensure proper classification and rating. Perform administrative tasks such as document organization, record keeping, and file management. Collaborate with the underwriting team to maintain workflow efficiency and support department goals. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion. Continuously develop knowledge of workers’ compensation principles and classification standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work on-site in Orlando, FL. Previous administrative or office support experience preferred. Familiarity with workers’ compensation principles is a plus. Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Team-oriented, detail-focused, and able to manage sensitive information responsibly.
