We are seeking a Benefits Specialist to play a key role in supporting our care centers and employees across multiple markets. This individual will assist in the administration of a comprehensive suite of employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, and the 401(k) retirement plan. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service, support benefit plan implementation, educate employees on their benefit options, and serve as a liaison with external vendors and carriers. This is a fully remote position. Responsibilities Administer day-to-day operations of employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, health spending accounts, voluntary benefits, retirement and wellness initiatives Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and the internal HR team regarding benefits-related questions, providing clear and accurate guidance on options, eligibility, and processes Support employees with benefit inquiries, including life events, new hire enrollment, and ongoing coverage questions Manage the benefits enrollment process, ensuring timely and accurate updates in the HRIS and benefits systems Facilitate benefits orientation for new care centers and provide ongoing support for existing employees Partner with benefit vendors to resolve benefits-related issues and ensure accurate processing of claims and data Assist with annual open enrollment activities, including system testing, communication development, vendor coordination, and employee issue resolution Support the implementation of plan design changes and wellness initiatives, including coordination with carriers, system updates, and employee communication Reconcile benefit invoices and employee deductions; research discrepancies, request payments, and maintain accurate benefit account records Stay current on relevant federal and state regulations (e.g., ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, FMLA, COBRA) and ensure compliance across all benefit programs Ensure accurate and up-to-date benefit records in UKG and maintain compliance-related documentation and reports Qualifications Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 2 years of experience in employee benefits administration or a comparable combination of HR experience and education Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with UKG (formerly UltiPro) is preferred Solid knowledge of federal and state benefits regulations including ACA, COBRA, ERISA, and HIPAA Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and empathetically Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills #UNIFIEDWHC
