Compensation Analyst
Job Description
Overview
This position is primarily responsible for calculations of all incentive and commission plans, analysis and interpretation of the company’s salary and incentive programs and ensuring that compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with company policies and government regulations.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Maintains incentive plans and accurately calculates all incentive and commission payments
Conducts market analysis of company jobs to determine competitive positioning and alignment to existing workforce
Participates in, analyzes results of compensation surveys; integrates employees’ information with results of compensation surveys for detailed review and proposals of pay recommendations
Assists in preparation of merit increase, incentive and commission programs, and budgeting
Creates or works with Payroll/HRIS Manager to produce current or historical ad hoc reports from systems; manipulates data, if necessary, to provide analyses as needed
Collaborates with Corporate and Division personnel on general compensation issues
Performs other related duties as assigned
Education & Experience
Undergraduate degree in Human Resources or related field
2-4 years’ experience
Skills & Abilities
Strong mathematical, problem solving, and analytical skills
Solid logic and reasoning skills to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
High degree of attention to details with ability to see big picture
Proactive and assertive
Strong technical aptitude (advance computer skills)
Extensive knowledge of human resource laws, regulations and best practices
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Physical Requirements
Typical office environment.
Routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones
