Overview
Job Purpose
The Benefits Analyst will manage all Leave and Time off plans for all U.S. and Canadian employees. This position will also assist and be heavily involved with compliance requirements as well as other benefit projects as needed.
Responsibilities
Manage leave and Time off for all North American employees including Worker’s Compensation; staying informed on state leave laws/changes; Keeping employee leave communications current on company intranet.
Liaise with HRIS team to customize state and local leave plans. Will be responsible for testing HRIS to confirm that the leave programs are setup and functioning properly.
Coordinate with outsourced pension and retiree health administrators regarding frozen defined benefit plans and retiree health and welfare.
Manage all aspects of ACA-related reporting with TPA to include Forms 1094 and 1095 in Oracle for employees, retirees/COBRA; PCORI, Transitional Reinsurance fees and RxDC reporting.
Assist in retirement and benefit plan compliance activities including annual retirement plan audits, IRS audits, non-discrimination testing, Form 5500 filings, and related communications.
Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor degree in HR, Business or related field.
3+ years of relevant benefits administration experience.
Ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize requests, with strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Working knowledge of State and Federal laws impacting benefit-related regulatory requirements, including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, DOL, IRS and other applicable regulations.
Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Possess mathematical aptitude and strong analytical skills.
Exposure to HRIS, preferably Oracle Cloud.
