Job Description
QUIKRETE, a leading producer of packaged products, is seeking a full time Benefits Specialist at our corporate headquarters in Atlanta, GA, to join the human resources division. The benefits specialist is responsible for the management and administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) plan. In collaboration and coordination with all HR areas, this role supports Benefits Leadership and team, in administration, analysis and auditing benefits information.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Administration, Analytics and Reporting:
Manages, updates and audits employees’ benefits records. Reconciles benefits statements Manages the day-to-day operation of the company’s benefit programs such, auditing, processing invoices, funding requests, uploads, open enrollment, group health, flexible spending accounts, HSA, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits. Prepares and analyze reports for management and third parties (employee benefit data and trends. healthcare plans and wellness programs, from medical and dental benefits to disability and family leave, renewal process of any health, life and retirement plans, benefit reports for new hires) Process and administer disability paperwork including but not limited to medical, person, and FMLA documentation.
Employees’ Assistance:
Partner with Director of Talent Development and Communications to promote and publicize healthy lifestyles for live event professionals. Assist employees with benefits claim issues and plan changes. Respond to benefits inquiries from employees and managers on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, and status changes through the benefits system, email, and other communication tools. Conduct benefits orientations and explain benefits of self-enrollment system.
Also:
Correspond with benefit provider in a timely manner to ensure the accuracy of eligibility, entries and enrollment information. Resolves administrative problems with the carrier representatives. Responds to the Medical Support Unit all the orders with appropriate information required and meeting the deadlines. Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in related field and 3-7 years benefits administration experience SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP and CEBS professional designations are favorable. Prior work in human resources, with benefits experience. 2+ years’ experience in administering benefits through
ADP Workforce Now Required Skills/Abilities:
Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
