RaceTrac Company OverviewJob Description:

The CompensationConsultant is responsible for supporting the establishment andmaintenance of the compensation function for both field andcorporate employees within RaceTrac. This individual will helpsupport the organization’s compensation infrastructure by providingthe necessary analytics and compensation metrics needed to supportorganizational objectives.

Responsibilities:

Works with Talent Acquisition and Hiring Managers to marketprice new positions using published salary survey data. Providescompensation recommendations based on knowledge of external data aswell as internal practices. Provides process improvement by gathering feedback fromsupervisors and the compensation team, documenting issuesencountered and suggesting improvements. Participates in external compensation surveys and researchespotential new additions to the survey library. Conducts complex ad-hoc analytical projects involving largeamounts of data, identifying key themes and highlighting areas ofopportunity. Researches and keeps up-to-date with compensation industry andmarket trends. Understands and communicates the possibleeffects/impacts to the organization. Makes recommendations for potential new compensationtools/salary guides that will aid in external compensationbenchmarking. Assists Compensation/Total Rewards leaders with ad-hoccompensation projects as necessary. Conducts FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act) analyses and makesrecommendations for the FLSA status for new and existingpositions. Troubleshoots time off discrepancies, and recommend/implementsolutions. Configures compensation related business processes inWorkday.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year College or University orequivalent experience. MS Office Suite, with proficient Excel knowledge required. 5+ years’ experience working with broad-based compensationprograms (base/bonus/equity), pay for performance,benchmarking/market data, job evaluation, etc. required. Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Professional Human Resources or Compensation certification aplus (SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, PHR, CCP, CBP, etc.). Experience with compensation management in an enterprise-wideHCM; Workday preferred. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret andcommunicate data; demonstrated experience performing complexreporting and analysis. Strong collaboration skills. Ability to use sound judgement and maintain confidentiality ofsensitive information. Highly organized, with strong ability to multi-task, meetdeadlines and focus on priorities. Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. Exceptional quantitative skills with a commitment to accuracyand details. Comfortable working quickly and efficiently in a flexible,rapidly changing, often ambiguous environment.
