Position Summary
The Global Compensation Analyst will support the implementation, administration and maintenance of Global Compensation programs, policies and procedures at JM Huber’s portfolio business organizations. Daily activities include pay analysis and benchmarking requests, survey submissions, annual merit and incentive planning, managing job descriptions, and other compensation-related project work and ad hoc analysis. Reporting to the Global Compensation Manager, this role will be a member of the Compensation COE and will provide customer service to HR partners across the organization.
This position will be immersed in compensation data, excel spreadsheets, the company’s Human Resources Information system, and other internal and third-party HR analytical tools. It requires an investigative mindset where accuracy and consistency are critical. Principal Duties & Responsibilities
25%
- Support the administration of recurring Global compensation programs (i.e. e.g. merit planning, incentive plans & related accruals, payments, documentation and communications). Partner with HR management, HRIS, and HR Administration teams to deliver these processes to the portfolio business organizations.
20% - Serve as a contact for HR Managers to solve compensation issues and explain compensation policies, procedures, tools, and systems in liaison with the Global Compensation Manager. Review proposed salary offers and adjustments by providing compensation analytical support.
20% - Perform benchmarking analysis of new and existing jobs using salary survey data and comparisons to internal jobs to assign job grades and compensation ranges.
20% - Coordinate salary survey participation by gathering and organizing data, matching company jobs to survey jobs and answering survey questions to ensure completion by submission deadlines.
5% - Assist with modelling, statistical analysis and costing of base & incentive programs.
5% - Participate in audits to ensure compliance with corporate policies, and regulatory requirements.
5% - Assist with projects and ad-hoc requests as needed
Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration / Management, or related field.
2+ years experience related experience in Compensation, HR, Finance, or other similar analytical role
Preferred:
2+ years Experience analyzing and administering compensation in a global organization
Skills:
Microsoft Suite intermediate proficiency with an emphasis on Excel (managing and analyzing spreadsheets using advanced formulas, pivot tables, charts etc.).
Ability to work with large data sets with a high degree of attentiveness.
Ability to clearly present data using detailed reports and charts.
Advanced problem-solving capability with the ability to think creatively and analytically.
Experience with HRIS systems and applications is a plus.
Familiarity with compensation surveys and benchmarking is a plus.
