Job Description

UKG multi-state payroll processing and benefits administration experience is a must have! This role will be onsite at the Atlanta office 5 days per week.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Payroll and Benefits Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and evaluating the various services, policies, and programs of the organization’s HR department. This ranges from overseeing employee benefit programs, to developing a strategic plan for the HR department. In addition, HRBP keep a pulse on employee relations, ensure practices are compliant with regulations, and coordinates the administering of services including onboarding, benefits, and payroll.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Payroll Management (UKG): Oversee and manage payroll processes using UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Benefits Administration:

Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-sponsored benefits. Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and issues.

Open Enrollment:

Coordinate and manage the annual open enrollment process, including communication, education, and support for employees selecting their benefits.

Employee Relations:

Serve as a point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to both employees and managers as it pertains to payroll and benefits.

HR Policies and Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all HR policies and legal requirements. Update and maintain employee records and HR documentation.

HR Projects:

Participate in and lead various HR projects and initiatives to improve HR processes and employee engagement. Passionate driving results by thinking and acting quickly to ensure the long-term best interest of company objectives Stay connected to the competitive landscape, including trends in tech recruiting and compensation

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Education:

Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources, Management, or related field.

Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, with a focus on payroll, benefits, and employee relations. Proficiency in UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) software. ADP payroll experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations as it pertains to payroll and benefits. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Strong organizational and time management skills. HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.

Special Skills/Qualifications :

Strong program management skills. Possess keen interpersonal skills, a natural ability to lead, and a strong sense of prioritization. Experience designing, assessing, deploying and optimizing benefits and open enrollment programs.
