As a Regional Worker’s Compensation Specialist, you will grow and strength the worker’s compensation program. You will be responsible for collecting data for all specialty programs, testing an assuring that policies regarding worker’s compensation rounds are being followed, educating and mentoring staff clinicians on the management of worker’s compensation patients, performing peer review for prospective specialist program clients, and maintaining and developing relationships w3ith worker’s compensation referral sources.

What You’ll Need:
  • A minimum of an associate degree in Allied Health profession such as Exercise Physiology, Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or Physical/Occupational Therapy
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in worker’s compensation or industrial rehabilitation
  • Certified in the performance of Functional Capacity Evaluations
  • Certified in the performance of Ergonomic Evaluations
What You’ll Do:
  • Perform monthly/bi-monthly worker’s compensation active peer review
  • Assist with the authorization and scheduling process for FCEs, physical reconditioning and work conditioning
  • Assist with training clinicians on the fundamentals of FCEs and work programs
  • Facilitate training or assign online training to clinical staff and PSCs on worker’s compensation processes and procedures
  • Assist with data collection for FCEs, physical reconditioning and work conditioning assessments
  • Perform post-offer employment testing and ergonomic evaluations in region
  • Perform onsite services within the scope of each individual’s state licensure
  • Assist with training clinicians on how to effectively use the Official Disability Guidelines in patient management
  • Verbally report significant information or changes in a patient’s condition to the appropriate therapist immediately
  • Preview specialty program recommendations for appropriateness
  • Develop relationships with worker’s compensation referral sources through face-to-face marketing events, telephone and written communication
  • Attend monthly regional meetings
