The Faculty Compensation Analyst is responsible for assisting the Director ClassificationCompensation with the analysis, implementation, and administration of facultypensation programs, policies, and procedures. This position ensures that faculty salaries arepetitive, equitable, and aligned with institutional goals and regulatorypliance. The analyst collaborates with academic leadership, Faculty Support Services, finance, and other stakeholders to develop datadriven insights and rmendations on facultypensation matters.
Responsibilities
Assists withprehensive analyses of facultypensation, including salary benchmarking, pay equity studies, and market trend evaluations.
Supports the administration of faculty salary increases, meritbased pay, promotions, and otherpensation adjustments.
Collaborates with Faculty Support Services and academic leadership to ensurepliance with university policies, accrediting bodies, and federal and state regulations.
Maintains faculty position data and ensures data integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality.
Researches and applies best practices in facultypensation, making rmendations for improvements and innovations.
Supports faculty hiring, retention, and engagement efforts throughpensation analysis and strategic rmendations.
Provides datadriven rmendations to enhance facultypensation structures and address equity concerns.
Assists in preparing reports and presentations for senior leadership, facultymittees, and governing boards.
Partners with finance and budget teams to assess financial impact and budget implications ofpensation programs.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A Minimum of three years of experience inpensation analysis, HR analytics, financial analysis, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree. Experience in higher education is strongly preferred. Experience in facultypensation or academic HR functions. Certification in Compensation (e.g., CCP, Certified Compensation Professional) or HR (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRMCP, SHRMSCP).

ABILITIES

Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and integrity.

KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge ofpensation structures, job evaluations, and faculty pay practices.
Understanding of federal and state employment regulations affecting facultypensation (e.g., FLSA, equal pay laws).
Excellent written and verbalmunication skills, with the ability to presentplex data in a clear and meaningful manner.
SKILLS
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including faculty, HR professionals, and senior leadership. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with HRIS,pensation, or financial management systems.
