Job Description
Senior Benefit Specialist at MaineHealth in Portland, Maine, United States Job Description Description The Senior Benefit Specialists are subject matter experts for benefit programs including retirement. The role serves as a consultant to the HR Support Center on complex matters related to benefits, leave, retirement, benefits systems, wellness, vendor relations, billing and other programs. The Senior Benefit Specialists investigate and resolve benefit related problems and ensure vendor file accuracy. They work closely with MaineHealth care team members to resolve disputes, appeals and escalated inquiries while exhibiting the values of MaineHealth. This is a hybrid remote position which allows working from home two days per week once fully trained.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional knowledge required.
License/Certifications:
SHRM-CP/SCP or
PHR/SPHR
certification preferred.
Experience:
Four years of work experience in Human Resources benefits required.
Additional Skills/Requirements Required:
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong analytical skills
