We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Insurance Verification Specialist (IVS) to join our team. This individual plays a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate verification of therapy benefits, including obtaining prior authorizations and communicating benefit details to clinical and administrative staff. Key Responsibilities Insurance Verification Receive insurance verification requests from referral coordinators, including face sheets and insurance cards. Use WayStar to initiate the verification process and identify the correct payer(s). Determine insurance hierarchy (primary/secondary), coverage details, deductible amounts, and out-of-pocket costs. Confirm if prior authorization is required. Communication & Coordination Contact insurance providers to verify therapy benefits, visit limits, and usage. Determine in-network status with insurance carriers via phone or online resources. Notify appropriate team members if prior authorization is needed and ensure therapy orders are on file. Documentation & Authorization Complete Explanation of Benefits (EOB) forms in Updox. Initiate and submit prior authorization requests through insurance portals or via phone. Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to obtain required evaluations and consent forms. Enter insurance parameters into the EMR system (NetHealth). Recertifications Manage ongoing authorization needs for continued therapy services. Coordinate with the clinical team to obtain updated documentation. Submit recertification requests and communicate approvals to the team. Required Skills and Qualifications 2+ years of experience in insurance verification, preferably for therapy services. Familiarity with WayStar, NetHealth, and Updox systems. Strong knowledge of therapy benefit structures, prior authorization processes, and payer communication. Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively. What We Offer (Full-Time):
