JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Compensation Analyst is primarily responsible for assuring tactical execution of broad-based compensation administration within the major areas of job analysis, market pricing, internal focal point processes, and surveys

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Analysis:

Review job descriptions to assure that job analysis has been completed and documented according to internal standards and are compliant with regulatory environment. Provide FLSA and leveling recommendation based on exemption testing and job analysis. Assure all jobs have descriptions that are no more than three years old and keep a catalogue of accurate JDs. Work with manager to assure jobs are correctly reflected in job descriptions.

Market Pricing:

Determine compensable elements of jobs based on their description. Perform matching against standard survey benchmark jobs. Analyze job pricing based on external and internal equity issues. Assure Compensation’s market pricing catalogue is up to date.

Merit Processes:

Assist in merit process, validating data, processes, documentation, and systems. Provide material support to end users for systems issues as necessary.

Surveys:

Review data needs for surveys and provide initial matching and requested data. Submit to survey vendors. Work with survey vendors to scrub data. Review survey results and adjust alignments.

Compensation Systems:

Take ownership of compensation systems, works closely with HR partners and business stakeholders to ensure Compensation systems are configured for efficiency during implementation and maintenance. Compensation. Systems to include (but not limited to) PayFactors, JDM, and Workday compensation. Acts as the main point of contact with the appropriate vendors to ensure systems are maintained with alignment to business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Compensation Analyst. Additional 3+ years of relevant experience can be considered in lieu of degree Advanced knowledge of MS Excel for financial analysis and modeling Excellent organization and administrative skills

DESIRED:

Working toward World at Work Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation or SHRM Compensation certification. Experience using / developing MS Access databases. Experience using Workday a plus. Experience as a Compensation Analyst, HR Analyst, or Payroll Analyst

JOB ENVIRONMENT

Office setting with physical proximity to other employees. Some background noise from other employees, copy machine, and telephone.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time. Must be able to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Must be able to operate a computer, telephone, and other office productivity machinery, such as calculators, copy machines and printers. Must be able to comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions. Must be able to comprehend and exchange accurate information in person or by phone, text, or email. Must be able to occasionally lift 5 pounds, such as supplies and small office machinery.
