Position Summary The Compensation and Benefits Administrator is responsible for managing and coordinating employee compensation and benefits programs. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions. Administers employee insurance programs including life, disability, and health insurance policies. Manages employee savings plans including the 401(k) and lifestyle savings account. Advises employees on the provisions of benefits with regard to eligibility, coverage and other benefits matters. Researches and compares incentive and benefit plans, and develops various proposals to maintain the organization’s competitive position in compensation and benefits. Ensures the accurate and timely delivery of employer contributions and employee payroll deductions to carriers, plan administrators, or other appropriate service providers. Prepares and executes, with legal consultation, benefits documentation such as original and amended plan texts, benefit agreements and insurance policies. Prepares and submits required reports and ensures compliance with federal, state and provider requirements. Conducts surveys and demographic research in order to obtain data on which to base new or enhanced benefits quotes. Analyzes quotations from benefit carriers and makes recommendations to select the carriers with which to contract. Reviews data entries and forms related to enrollment and provider eligibility reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with plan requirements. Ensures compliance with applicable government regulations including the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA). Maintains awareness of labor market trends in order to ensure the organization’s compensation structure is aligned with current market rates. Ensure compliance with multi-state leave laws, benefits programs, and compensation regulations. Comply with all policies and procedures. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in benefits and compensation. Follows all company policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of five years’ experience administering compensation or benefits programs. Proficient in HRIS systems (UKG preferred). SHRM-CP or

SHRM-SCP

certification preferred. Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and compensation. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Thorough understanding of COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA requirements. Experience with or knowledge of self-insured health plans.
