Payroll & Benefits Specialist 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars Route 94, Blairstown, NJ 07825 The Payroll & Benefits Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of payroll for First Hope Bank Associates; to support the administration of all benefits and retirement programs; and to prepare bookkeeping entries and reconciliations for payroll and benefits. Key Responsibilities Responsible for timely and accurate payroll processing for non-exempt (bi-weekly) and exempt (semi-monthly) associates (4-5 times per month). Ensures the retirement plan contributions and loan setup and repayments are correctly applied to payroll and with the recordkeeper. Support associates with all aspects of health and welfare benefits administration, including onboarding new hires’ benefit elections and enrollments, supporting associates with qualifying life events, serving as front line resource to answer benefits-related questions or concerns, and engaging the benefits broker for support when necessary Provides feedback to the HR Director on benefit utilization and/or service trends impacting associates Responsible for the administrative aspects of the annual health and welfare benefits open enrollment process. Assists with human resource projects to support and enhance areas of responsibility. Serve as a back up to the HR Generalist in fulfilling their key responsibilities. Education and Experience Bachelors degree in human resources, business administration, or related field . 2+ years experience as the primary party responsible for payroll processing for an organization required Experience with Benefits Administration and HRIS systems. Bookkeeping experience a plus. SHRM-CP or CEBS certification, or the ability to obtain within one year. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Professional office environment with moderate sound.
