Job Description
Summary:
Reporting to the Compensation Manager the Senior Compensation Analyst provides consultative and analytical services to Brown University Health leaders and is responsible for project management and complex compensation modeling and analyses. The analyst collaborates with leaders and other stakeholders to identify and adapt to changing business needs while maintaining the integrity of compensation programs and structures.
Responsibilities:
Functions as first-level contact for compensation analyst team. Provides daily support mentors and trains other team members. Acts as a strategic partner to a specialized customer base. In collaboration with Brown University Health leaders and other stakeholders researches designs and implements customer solutions related to compensation services. Independently performs complex data analysis and compensation modeling based on market trends internal equity compression qualitative data and other broad-based compensation issues. Determines cost implications develops recommendations and formulates implementation strategies. Presents recommendations and executive summaries to stakeholders. Leads the project management for the implementation of Brown University Health�s base pay and incentive compensation programs including merit increases market adjustments and bonus programs. Advises and assists leaders in the development of job descriptions. Determines appropriate compensation grades and salary ranges. Communicates recommendations in a concise customer-focused format. Serves as a subject matter expert and advisor in the application of compensation policies and procedures. Collaborates with recruiters and leaders to determine rates for new and transferred employees. Develops audits of pay practices to ensure compliance with federal and state legislation (FLSA etc.) and internal pay policies. Documents findings and leads the efforts to implement solutions. Identifies training needs for colleagues in Human Resources leaders and other stakeholders. Develops training materials and strategies for implementation. Maintains directly or through others the integrity of information systems and related fields tables and modules. Assists with the administration of group edits such as across the board and union increases. Demonstrates broad knowledge of compensation strategies while displaying advanced competencies in analytics communications and internal consulting. Collaborates with colleagues to foster a team-oriented environment. Stays up to date on industry trends and makes recommendations to incorporate best practices in Brown University Health�s compensation programs. Performs other duties as assigned.
Other information:
BASIC KNOWLEDGE
Bachelor�s degree in a related field required.
EXPERIENCE
Three years of experience in compensation human resources finance or other related field. Advanced Excel skills and experience providing data analytics required. Experience in the design and implementation of contemporary compensation practices in a large health care academic and/or research setting preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is performed in typical office setting requiring extended periods of sitting.
