Medical, Dental, Vision Benefits Short Term and Long Term Disability Offered Position Responsibilities:
Selects appropriate test and informs the patient or physician office staff of any carrier that is out of network or plan that may result in a reduction in benefits Contacts insurance carries via telephone or through verified web portal to initiate prior authorization request Maintains files of approved and denied request Select the correct patient medical record consistently Acknowledge, file, and send actions/messages via eCW. Works assigned diagnostic imaging prior authorization request within a 1-2-day time frame to ensure patients are scheduled in a sufficient manner Fax requested clinical information to insurance companies to obtain prior authorization Follow up with insurance carriers in a timely manner to check the status of request Notifies referring provider of any additional information needed as well as options to further provide this information to carriers (e.g. Peer to peer request) Answers the telephone in a timely and professional manner Schedules all patients for ancillary and medical testing/procedures through the eCW scheduling module Informs the physician office staff or patient of any testing requirements according to the instructions and queries in the scheduling module Edit via the scheduling module those departmental calendar changes to ensure that patients are not scheduled when personnel is not available Acknowledge, file, and send actions/messages via eCW. Work all diagnostic imaging orders within a 2-3 day time frame to ensure patients are scheduled in a sufficient manner Other duties as assigned
Education:
