Coordinator Summary:

The Employee Benefits Coordinator will have the opportunity to administer and coordinate the employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans and leave of absence programs. This role ensures that all benefit offerings are communicated clearly to employees and administered in compliance with applicable laws and policies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field. Prior HR related experience required.

SHRM/HRCI

certification or willing to obtain certification is preferred Requirements Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Working knowledge of human resource principles, practices and procedures.

Job Responsibilities :

Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits inquiries, claims issues, eligibility, and plan provisions. Collaborate with benefit providers to ensure smooth operations and resolve of employee service issues. Administer employee benefit programs including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, ancillary and retirement plans. Facilitate new hire benefit orientations and annual open enrollment processes. Coordinate benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations in our HRIS (currently UKG Ready) and with third-party vendors. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee benefit records. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA). Prepare and distribute employee communications regarding benefits. Assist with audits, reports, and data analysis related to benefits programs. Collaborate with payroll and finance to ensure accurate benefit deductions and reconciliations. Educate Employees by providing clear communication about benefit options, eligibility, and how to access services. Assist employees with understanding the value of their compensation package. Assist with updating company benefit policies to align with organizational goals. Performs other related duties as assigned.
