The Portfolio Director will serve in an advisory role,on Workday support engagements and deployments. The PortfolioDirector may be asked to serve as the Delivery Executive for aportfolio of engagements with Government clients. This role willensure success by driving the client implementation (directly orindirectly), will be involved in the development, review, andapproval of several key project deliverables (e.g., charter,project/staffing plan, issue logs, etc.) and work with the Clientproject manager and Cognizant Engagement Manager to resolve issuesthat stand in the way of project success. They will also beresponsible for managing to the approved budget and delivering theprojects and on-going support contractsprofitably.
Responsibilities Serve as Delivery Executive for a portfolio of Workdaydeployments for Government clients. Ensure projects and on-going support contracts in his/herportfolio are properly planned and staffed. Track issues and risks, communicate status, and escalateconcerns applicable for all clients in his/her portfolio. Interface with Workday regional leadership regarding accountand project status within assigned portfolio. Provide leadership within the portfolio to help drive businessdevelopment and the achievement of bookings numbers. Consistently review and prioritize business development goalsand objectives by reviewing the SFDC pipeline with salesleadership. Provide guidance to Sales Directors and Sales Managers onscope, approach, and estimates. Prepare and review SOWs. Ensure the portfolio of on-going support contracts and projectsare delivered within the budget outlined in the SOW. Represent Cognizant at Executive Steering Committeemeetings. Become an expert in CynergyTM Implementation Methodology anduse it on all engagements; ensure the methodology is deployedconsistently across all engagements in his/her portfolio. Demonstrate good understanding of the Workday product suite -HCM, Payroll, and/or Financials. Participate in the sales cycle when requested to gatherrequirements, formulate delivery approach, deal reviews, present atorals and developing a proposal/SOW. Identify opportunities to position other serviceofferings. Lead internal process improvement or “build the business”initiatives.
Skills & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business InformationSystems, or related field. Successful candidates have a balance of business and salesskills as well as functional (business) and technicalexperience. Progressive business management experience including projectmanagement, managing a P&L, budgeting, and reporting. Consulting experience with a consulting/software company. 10+ years of experience as a Project Management with HCM,payroll or financial implementations for larger complexorganizations. Working knowledge with at least two of the following businessareas: Human Resources, Benefits, Payroll, General Ledger orAccounts Payable/Receivable. Experience implementing or overseeing implementations ofWorkday, Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft or similar application. Be a self-starter and can function well independently or partof a team. Outstanding communication skills written, verbal, presentation,and executive interaction. Excellent organization and time management.
Salary and OtherCompensationApplications will be accepted until 07/20/2025. Theannual salary for this position is between $198,097 – $250,535depending on the experience and other qualifications of thesuccessful candidate. This position is also eligible forCognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based onperformance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicableplans.
