Job Summary Currently, we are seeking a Junior Benefits Analyst —preferably with experience—to join our vibrant team. We are looking for an energetic, ambitious, and dedicated individual to help support our Agency’s mission. The Junior Benefits Analyst assists the Benefits Analyst to most effectively meet client and Consultant objectives during the annual benefits renewal process. With a focus on managing an efficient and effective renewal and implementation, the Junior Benefits Analyst will interact with both external Insurance Carrier Representatives and internal Team Members to deliver timely and accurate renewal proposals; specifically focused in the following areas: Pre-Quoting Renewal Preparations Quoting Benefits Presentations Implementations Off Cycle Renewal Preparation New Client Onboarding Key Responsibilities Pre-Quoting Renewal Preparations Establishes a quoting timeline to ensure renewal deadlines are met. Engage in pre- renewal meetings with the Account Manager and Broker to discuss renewal strategy. Request eligibility reports from the carriers to audit for accuracy. Request data from Account Managers such as an employee census, and medical questionnaires to send a group to market. Request and secure early renewals. Quoting Send out requests for proposals. Connect with the carriers and vendors to ensure their receipt and timely response for requests. Review carrier proposals as released to check for accuracy and request revisions as needed. Maintain accurate and organized files. Share quoting updates with the Broker and Account Manager and suggest recommendations. Create Presentations Grid competitive proposals. Finalize materials to be presented to the client. Prepares client-facing presentations, both electronic and hardcopy, as needed. Double checks all material for accuracy. Populates contribution strategies to be presented. Implementation Confirm final sold plans and review proposals for accuracy. Obtain all compensation information in writing, track bonuses and credits given. Upload documents in agency management system to complete implementation. Off Cycle Renewal Preparations Request claims from carriers on a monthly, quarterly, or semiannual basis as needed. Save pertinent information in renewal folders. Prepare mid-year reviews for Agents as needed. What You Bring Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent, relevant training/experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred. 1+ years of experience in benefits administration or related role. Basic knowledge of employee benefits. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. High level of computer literacy including working knowledge of Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Ability to set priorities and manage workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate processing of transactions and completion of other responsibilities. Ability to work in a team environment. Interact with others effectively by utilizing good communication skills, cooperating purposefully, and sharing information, as needed, to achieve the business goals of the Agency. Project a professional image in demeanor and appearance. Strong ability to problem solve, set and meet deadlines, communicate, work under pressure, organize, prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and operate in a fast-paced environment. Good at attention to detail and ability to self-check work. Enthusiastic attitude, cooperative, adaptable to new or changing circumstances, sensitive to client needs, self-motivated, creative, and innovative.
